THEATRE FOYER-BUFFET
The design of the theatre’s foyer was thoughtfully crafted to complement the renovated building, offering a fresh and modern look while honoring the rich history and tradition of the old theatre. This project blends the past with the present, creating an inviting and functional space for audiences to enjoy.
The main stage foyer draws direct inspiration from a collection of play posters painted by a local artist. This artistic influence is reflected in the color scheme and overall character of the interior, which successfully preserves the unique ambiance of the theatre. The walls are adorned with these posters, serving as both decoration and a thematic link to the theatre’s storied past.
The design of the foyer buffets was driven by the need to create a functional yet elegant space for audiences to relax during intermissions. The concept was to maintain simplicity while ensuring the interior remained sophisticated. The result is a space where patrons can comfortably enjoy their time, surrounded by the artistic legacy of the theatre.
A standout feature of the foyer is the birch trunk decoration, which subtly divides the space while symbolizing the connection between the theatre’s interior and its natural surroundings. This element, combined with the traditional color palette, bridges the gap between the theatre’s heritage and its contemporary renovation.
